Enrolment

The process to enrol your dog at Billy’s is detailed below, however if you have any questions at any stage of the enrolment process please do not hesitate to call us.

Enrolment Process:

Please fill out one “form A” for each dog attending.
Fill out the “form B” with your details
Email or fax the forms to Billy’s, or bring them with you to the evaluation.
The staff at Billy’s will contact you to arrange an appointment which both dog and owner will attend. You will be required to bring your dogs current C5 vaccination certificate with you. At this meeting your dog will be assessed for social ability with our human staff, then have an opportunity to interact with one or two dogs of suitable temperament and size. Afterwards your dog can be introduced into a play group, and stay for two or three hours so that we can monitor the dog to determine if day-care is suitable. This is also an opportunity for owners to see the facility and ask any questions. The assesment will cost $20,(it was once free but people used this as an oppurtunity for free care for their dog, so we now charge for our time) if your dog is not suitable we will house him or her in a comfortable area away from other dogs but with human contact until the pick up time.
Details of your dogs time at day-care will be discussed with you in full, and arrangements can then be made for future day-care visits and/or the dog shuttle.

To attend Billy's, dogs must be:

Fully vaccinated — All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations: C5. We are currently urging all dogs in our care to have the bordetella vaccine (part of C5) as a nasal spray rather than injection. More information is available from your vet or Billy's.
At least six months old
Flea treated — Acceptable products are: Frontline, Advantage, Revolution
On heart-worm control (yearly injection or monthly tablet both acceptable)
De-sexed
Social and non-aggressive
